I have become a homebrewer. I started out with extract kits. My wife bought me my first kit. (If she only knew what she was getting me into!) Anyhow, I soon became intrigued by the "All Grain" experience. Since I work in the manufacturing industry, I had available a lot of personal resources. (Read as friends more than willing to give an opinion!) Also, due to my training, (I started out as an electrical/mechanical troubleshooter) I consider myself somewhat adept with electronic controls. Anyhow, I sarted doing a complex web search for any information that I could find. I got some scrap components from work. (Out of the dumpster. A little patience with a soldering iron, about 8 blown up units, and voila.. 2 functional PID control units!) Off to the plumber supply store I went. And below is the result.
